Ontario 2025 Election: Rainbow Vote

Muskoka Pride reached out to all declared candidates in Parry Sound Muskoka.   We asked candidates for their commitment to supporting the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Ontario and addressing the increasing threats, violence, and discrimination we continue to face.

We asked candidates to answer 4 questions:
  1. What will you do to combat anti-2SLGBTQ+ hate and misinformation, and ensuring the safety of queer and gender-diverse individuals in Muskoka and across Ontario?
  2.  How will you advocate for policies that protect queer and gender-diverse individuals, including stronger protections against hate crimes and discrimination?
  3. How will you ensure that school boards and educators are supported in maintaining inclusive, safe learning environments for 2SLGBTQ+ students, staff, and families? 
  4. How will you ensure accessible and affirming healthcare for trans and gender-diverse individuals, including gender-affirming care and mental health services?
